Louisiana Shooters Basic Pistol – This is our course that meets the training requirement to get your Louisiana concealed handgun permit. Pistol safety and marksmanship are covered, as well as conflict avoidance/resolution and our use of force laws.
10 hours/75-100 rounds of ammo req’d.
Price is $135 for an individual/$240 for a couple. (Pricing outside of Calcasieu Parish may vary)
Range fees, targets, ect are included in the course fee. The only things not included are guns and ammunition. We like to see students bring their own guns and ammo, but we keep a limited supply available. Please reserve a pistol and ammunition in advance if you need them.

Louisiana Personal Protection I – This is the next step. We review the basics, then we cover concealment methods, belt and holster selection, mindset, presentation, presentation from concealment, movement during presentation, presentation and shooting, and what to do after a shooting. 10-16 hours, 300-400 rounds req’d. You can get/renew your carry permit with this course.
$175 for 10 hour/$225 for 16 hour courses
Defensive Carbine I We review the basics, awareness methods, mindset, presentation, movement, use of cover, basic tactics and what to do after a shooting, next we cover transitions to/from a long gun and cover the circle of safety concept, sling use in carry/marksmanship, Zeroing, prone, freearm, armrest standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and improvised field positions. Emergency reloads, low light shooting, malfunction clearences, and maintenance are covered as well. You can get/renew your carry permit with this course. 400 rounds rifle, 200 rounds pistol required - 8-10 hour course

Defensive Carbine II We review the basics, along with everything from Defensive Carbine I. Then we move on to urban tactics and more complex shooting positions such as suppine and shooting from a vehicle. Shooting on the move and basic team tactics will be introduced to students who demonstrate sufficient mastery of the more basic drills. 400 rounds rifle, 200 rounds pistol required - 8 hour course. $250
Gun Rentals and Ammo for Courses (pricing outside of Calcasieu may vary)
We suggest that students bring their own firearm and ammunition when taking our courses, because the more practice one has with the pistol one will be carrying, the more likely that they will be able to use it effectively should they ever need to. However, we realize that this is not always pratical, so we have a limited supply of firearms and ammunition available. Please reserve what you need in advance.

NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Certification Course
This is the course one needs in order to become an NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol. Successful completion of this workshop allows one to register with the State Police and teach Concealed Handgun Training Courses in Louisiana. $400
